. Replace and add new shelves and tables in classrooms as needed.
. Continue use and updating of Alert Now.
. Protect campus from construction zone, yet allow viewing for children to watch
progress.
Connecting the Montessori Community
. Promote Meet the Parents conversations with the new director.
. Offer parent education night for each level.
. Develop framework to include more environmental subjects in the curriculum as
DMS becomes a "Green" Campus."
. Distribute Parent Handbooks (returning parents) and all Summer Packets via
the website.
New Programs
. Continue Performing Artists series.
. Develop materials in Spanish for classroom use.
. Continue successful UE Band Program.
. Introduce Handwriting Without Tears program in all pre-primary classes.
. Extend After Care program to 5:00 p.m.
Office
. Add new formatting for website to continue to make more user friendly and a primary
source of information for the parents and community.
. Add to the lending library for staff and parents.
. Update databases and create tracking system for alumni, SAT results, etc..
Parent/Students
. Continue active "Step Up" programs to all students transitioning to a new program.
. Add classroom student ambassadors in pre-primary and elementary programs.
. Host annual Parent Education Journey of Discovery in conjunction with the
community-wide Open House in January.
Professional Development
. Continue to promote professional development for all staff.
. Bring in dynamic programming for in-service day.
